2. What data we collect and why

2.1 Browsing data

This website is hosted as a static site on Microsoft Azure Storage and does not actively collect or store server access logs containing visitors’ personal data, such as IP addresses or browser information.

As the hosting infrastructure provider, Microsoft may process limited technical data, including IP addresses, at platform level for security, network operations and service availability. Microsoft carries out this processing as a data processor under the Microsoft Data Processing Addendum (DPA) and Microsoft Online Services Terms. QP DRONE does not have direct access to these platform-level data.

2.2 Email communications

If you email us at the address in the Contact section of this website, we will collect your email address and any other personal data you voluntarily include in your message. These data are used solely to respond to your enquiry and manage the related correspondence.

The legal basis for this processing is the need to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry (Articles 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Email correspondence is retained only for as long as needed to handle your enquiry, and no longer than 24 months after the last communication, unless legal or contractual obligations require a longer retention period.

3. Cookies and tracking technologies

Your explicit language choice is saved in your browser (localStorage, key qpdrone-language), without cookies or transmission to the server, so it can be used on your next visit. You can change it with the IT / EN selector or remove it by clearing this site’s browser data.

This website does not use profiling or tracking cookies. The CDN infrastructure (Microsoft Azure) may set strictly technical and security cookies, for example to protect against bots and automated attacks. These cookies do not collect personal data for marketing purposes and are managed by Microsoft under its DPA. As strictly necessary technical cookies, they do not require user consent under Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code.

4. Data sharing and transfers

Your personal data are not sold, shared or disclosed to third parties for marketing purposes.

This website is hosted on Microsoft Azure Storage and delivered through Microsoft Azure’s content delivery network (CDN). Microsoft Corporation acts as a data processor on our behalf under Article 28 GDPR and is bound by the Microsoft Data Processing Addendum (DPA) included in the Azure Online Services Terms.

Azure’s CDN caches and delivers website content from globally distributed edge nodes to improve performance and availability. When you visit this site, the CDN may process your IP address and HTTP request headers for routing and to deliver content from the nearest edge node. Microsoft processes these technical data under its DPA; QP DRONE neither accesses nor stores them.

Although origin data reside within the European Economic Area (EEA), cached content may be temporarily stored at CDN edge nodes around the world, including outside the EEA. As a US-based company, Microsoft may also access data from outside the EEA for limited purposes such as technical support and service operations.

These transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission adopted an adequacy decision on 10 July 2023 (Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/1795), and by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses incorporated into Microsoft’s DPA.

Any other necessary transfer of personal data outside the EEA will take place only with appropriate safeguards under Chapter V of the GDPR.

5. Your rights

Under Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • access your personal data and obtain a copy;
  • request the correction of inaccurate data;
  • request the erasure of your data (the “right to be forgotten”);
  • request restriction of processing;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • request data portability;
  • lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority.
